In order to get a Pan Card one have to visit a Pan Centre with 2 Passport Sze photo and Aadhaar Card and Pan Centre person will fill a Form and affix 2 Passport and get it signed by the Person and Apply for Pan Card through Online (either E-Pan or Both E-Pan and Physical PAN). Pan Centre will charge Rs. 150 for E-Pan and Rs. 200 for both E-Pan and Physical Card.
Income Tax Department had started a new facility where people can apply for E-Pan for Free using their Aadhaar Card and the E-Pan will be generated within minutes.
Instant PAN Card will be allotted for those applicants who possess a valid Aadhaar number. PAN is issued in PDF format to applicants, which is free of cost.
Applicants can request for a Physical Card once the E-Pan is generated by paying a nominal fees of Rs. 50.

Visit Income Tax Website by clicking here.
Click on Get New e-PAN
Enter your 12 digit Aadhaar number for PAN allotment.
Tick and confirm below points
- I have never been allotted a Permanent Account Number (PAN)
- My active mobile number is linked with Aadhaar
- My complete date of birth (DD-MM-YYYY) is available on Aadhaar card
- I am not minor as on application date of Permanent Account Number (PAN)
Click on Continue
Read and Agree the Terms and Conditions by ticking on the box
Click on Continue
Enter the OTP received on the Aadhaar Linked Mobile Number and agree the terms for validate Aadhaar by ticking on the box and click on Continue.
Your personal data will be displayed based on Aadhaar Card.
If E-Mail ID is not linked you can click on Link E-mail ID and enter your email and click on Send OTP.
Enter the OTP received on your E-Mail and click on Submit.
Tick on the box and accept if all the data provided above is correct.
Click on Continue.
Your request for E-Pan will be successfully Submitted and you will receive an Acknowledgement Number.
Your E-Pan PDF will be delivered to your E-Mail once it is generated.
How to Check Status / Download PAN?
Visit the Income Tax Website by clicking here.
Click on Continue under Check Status / Download PAN
Enter your Aadhaar Number and click on Continue
Enter the OTP received on your Aadhaar Linked Mobile Number.
Click on Continue.
Your current Status will be displayed here. Once the Pan Card is generated you can View E-Pan or Download E-Pan. Click and Download E-Pan to download your Pan Card in PDF Format.
PDF will be a password protected file where you need to enter your date of birth for opening the PDF E-Pan File. If you date of birth is 1st Jan 1990 then the password will be 01011990.
How to Print Instant E-Pan?
You can apply for Physical Card if you require a Physical Card once you got the E-Pan.
There are people who are Printing the Pan Card in PDF to a PVC card for a charge, but the clarity will be little low.
If you want a good print of your Pa Card then visit UTI website Reprint Pan Card and Enter your Pan Card Number, Month & Year of (Date of Birth / Incorporation / Agreement / Partnership or Trust Deed / Formation of Body of Individuals / Association of Persons in MM/YYYY Format)
Enter the Captcha and click on Submit.
If your given details are matched you can make the payment of Rs. 50 and apply for a Physical Card and it will be delivered to your address provided before.
